Almenara Golf
Almenara Golf Course was designed by Dave Thomas & opened in 1998. It has 27 holes made up of 3 sets of 9 that wend their way through natural parkland with natural lakes & several streams. Situated in the upper part of Sotogrande, Almenara has marvellous views of the hills & the Mediterranean & is surrounded by pine trees & cork oaks.
The facilities include a Golf Academy, 3-hole warm-up course, health club, gym etc.
Suitable for golfers of all abilities, although plenty of water, high lipped fairway bunkers, very hilly terrain & narrow fairways means you need to think your way around the course & probably best to leave your driver in the bag.
Large greens are protected by fine sanded bunkers.
