Guadalhorce Golf Club
On the Eastern side of Malaga airport and a little difficult to find, Guadalhorce is worth the trip with a club house that is an 18th century Andalucian mansion which has been restored in grand style.
It is a friendly, family orientated club with additional facilities such as pools, tennis & saunas.
The first nine are a bit hilly and fairly open with a distinctively English ‘parkland’ feel about it, with its slightly rolling terrain and tricky greens.
The back nine, however, is flatter with more of an American style with lakes, tropical vegetation and raised greens.
Many of the greens indeed are extremely large, and in some cases they are shared between two holes, the 6th and the 8th for example and also the 12th & 16th.
