La Quinta Golf and Country Club
Designed by Manuel Pinero and Antonio Garrido La Quinta – which opened in 1989 - is in the Benahavis valley near Marbella. The club house is one of the best equipped on the coast with La Quinta fast developing a reputation as host of the prestigious charity pro-am tournament.
La Quinta is 27 holes of golf located in the heart of the Marbella's Golf valley with the best of panoramic views of the mountain and the Marbella coastline. One of the most charismatic & attractive clubs in Spain, it is designed to test the ability of all golfers with its narrow fairways that roll towards the fast greens. A successful round on this golf course requires not only accuracy in order to avoid its trees, water hazards and the large albeit shallow sand traps along the fairways, but also stamina, for it is quite hilly. There are 3 ‘loops’ of 9 holes which can be played either separately or together & they each lead you back to the club house past the Pinero-managed Golf Academy.. Excellent facilities including squash, paddle tennis, squash, pool, fitness centre etc. Buggies Recommended. Soft spikes only.
